What's Brewing - September 14, 2011

The brewery team has a lot of treats coming out for us. Here's a quick update from Brewer Charlie Buettner.

BREWING: Double batch of Saison Monday and Tuesday. The fresh-picked pumpkins are in, we'll get the Pumpkinator brewed this Thursday and Friday.  
 
FERMENTING: FV1 Kolsch (complete. Used Hersbrucker hops in this batch). FV2 Broad Street IPA (Dry Hopped 9/7/11. Cold crashing this Friday 9/16/11). FV3 Saison (Brewing). FV4 Two Hemispheres IPA (Wet Hoped 9/9/11). FV5 ESB (15bbl. ready to go). FV6 Oktoberfest (ready to go)
 
SERVING: SV1 Kolsch, SV2 Porter (getting kegged and replaced with ESB to make room for Pumpkinator), SV3 English Summer Ale, SV4 Lindy's Weiss. SV5 India Ink, SV6 Strawberry Blonde. 
 
CASKS: Fennec & English Summer Ale. ESB will be on as soon as the ESA runs out. CCC: Farmers Daughter on Wednesday.
  
OTHER NEWS: 
 
TUESDAY TAPPING: Lindy's Weiss is good to go. ESB for the 9/20. Broad Street IPA for 9/27. Fest will be ready for the 9/24 Oktoberfest
 
CASK WEEK: Working on Mad Fox casks and sourcing casks from our favorite breweries for Cask Week starting November 4th.
 
BARRELS: Looking ahead to packaging the Batch 100 that is aging in our eight 53-gallon Bourbon barrels.
